I wrote this poem for my mother in 1982 when dad had departed for God’s Home. By sharing it with others I was told about it being read at a wedding as well as being framed by recipients for their homes. It has received the National Library of Poetry Editor’s Choice Award and published in their anthology, “Days Gone By.” 1997.

True Love
True Love never dies,
The Goodness of it
Triumphs over troubles,
The Faith in it
Invests in Heaven,
The Example of it
Blesses future generations,
The Gift of it
Comes from God,
The Living of it
Is Eternal.
