The painting of this Perry, Florida scene was accepted in 1964 at the 75th Anniversary Palo Duro Art Show, sponsored by the Panhandle Historical Museum and the West Texas State University Fine Arts Department, Canyon, Texas.
Mrs. Bugbee, of The Panhandle Plains Historical Society, volunteered this information, knowing how much it means to an artist.
"Your 'Old Florida Sawmill' has been greatly admired by many artists who have seen it. "Good sound composition" and "No worked to death detail," were among the comments."
Yours truly,
Mrs. Harold Bugbee
She also sent the $25.00 check third prize for Tanker Pilot in the same show.
